Japanese Takeda-ningyo depicting a warrior with a helmet on his shoulder, positioned with his left foot atop a rocky outcrop and his upper body twisted looking over his right shoulder, an arrow his left hand, two red scabbard swords at his hip along with a bow, dramatic facial features with strong contours, a grimacing mouth and large painted eyes, upswept eyebrows, long silk fiber hair, a formed topknot, butterfly details on kimono, embroidered birodo black velvet trim, embroidered design of a falcon on sleeves, blue feet, mounted on a black lacquer base with front aperture cloth and additional red lacquered wood support base, minor signs of wear, Fig: 13/12’ (Overall: 25”)
