(one of pair) Japanese Ichimatsu pair by Hirata Goyo II (Tsuneo, 1903-1981), a “pouting” style pair, she in a beautiful figured silk kimono with supplemental embroidered designs, silk brocade obi, obi age, obi jime, hako seko purse, tabi, on a white metal stand, sealed Goyo, he wearing an unusual outfit consisting of a crested  outer hapi coat, a crested haori with singular fuji wisteria and cross pattern, supplemental designs of sacred treasures, and inner kimono, hakama trousers, tabi socks, white metal stand, well executed faces, fine detailing, she with real hair he with painted hair, voice box, hands in a classic, slightly flexed position typical of early Goyo ichimatsu, wear to hapi, minor staining, overall fine condition, 16-1/2” High.
