Edo Period Musha-ningyo depicting the celebrated tragic hero Minamoto Yoshitsune ((1159-1189), large-scale figure with exceptional silk brocade textiles, lacquered paper armor with metal fittings, birodo black velvet trim detailing, elaborate kabuto helmet with signature dragon maedate, breast plate with thh sasrndo (gentian) crest of the Minamoto/Genji Clan, separate arrow display quiver in red lacquer, finely executed face with well formed features, painted eyes, silk fiber hair, faux fur boots, wear to birodo velvet, overall fine condition, 20-1/2” High (Overall 25-3/4”)
