A53005 Japanese Standing Gosho Ningyo, classic form of a standing palace doll, with particularly individualized expression, wearing a asa fiber ikat under kimono, a broad orange obi with gold kinran designs, a black silk outer jacket with wisteria design on back and at shoulders, silk fiber hair with a top nakasori shaved spot, upper arms padded to allow for movement, right hand closed to hold fan (missing) and left hand with well-delineated fingers, sexed figure, solid wood construction covered overall by a fine white gofun with painted features, excellent condition.
